Arriving by Public Transit

Much of the park is accessible by public transit.

For areas south of Steeles Avenue, call the Toronto Transit Commission (TTC) information line at 416-393-INFO for route and schedule information.

For areas north of Steeles Avenue, call York Region Transit (YRT) at 1-866-MOVE YRT (668-3978) for routes and schedules.

If you are coming from within the Greater Toronto Area, certain areas are also accessible by GO Transit, call 1-888-GET-ON-GO (438-6646).

TTC bus: #85A Sheppard East stops at Sheppard Avenue East and Rainbow Ridge Avenue


Glen Rouge Campground



There is no transit stop at the campground. Nearby transit stops are a 1 km walk.

TTC (Toronto local transit): bus 85A stops at Sheppard Avenue East and Kingston Road, then continues to Rouge Hill GO station 4km away.

Durham Transit: R9 route offers weekday "rush hour" service only to Rouge Hill GO Train station, which has commuter trains into downtown Toronto and TTC bus access.

GO Transit (regional bus): Oshawa/Highway 2 route (Oshawa - Yorkdale).
Stop at Kingston Road and Port Union Road.

Rouge Beach


TTC bus: #54A/E stops at Lawrence Avenue East and Starspray Blvd
GO Train: Rouge Hill GO Station on Lakeshore East line is 1.3 km from beach entrance


Our other day use areas are at least 2 km from the nearest transit stop
