At Rouge Park we believe it's important to consider the impact that we have on the environment and to remain accountable to our stakeholders.

We have taken a number of steps through our day to day operations that echo our commitment to protecting the environment and behaving ethically.

Accountability
Our Rouge Park Alliance meetings are open to the public, and the agendas and minutes are posted on our website. Our annual report and our audited financial statements are also available online.

Transportation
Keep an eye out for our Rouge Park Prius. This Toyota hybrid is highly fuel efficient, reducing both emissions and expense. Staff are encouraged to carpool or use public transit whenever possible.

Printing
Our newsletter and letterhead are printed by using a waterless printing process, using FSC certified, post consumer recycled papers.

Purchasing
Much of our office furniture was purchased from Steelecase, the first company to be accepted into the Ontario Environmental Leaders program, and recognized by the Recycling Council of Ontario. The furniture itself is Greenguard Indoor Air Quality Certified,

Accessibility
Visitors with impairments and their hiking buddies can still enjoy the Park by experiencing the sights, sounds and scents of nature. Trained "Guide Dogs" assisting people with impairments are welcome in the Park. Please see our accessibility page for more information.
